Your post helped me troubleshoot it - the problem ended up being my jquery version was 1.4.2 while the version the QuickManager was loading was 1.3.2. I just changed the "Path to Jquery" parameter under the "Configuration" tab for the QuickManager to point to the version of jQuery I was using (assets/js/jquery-1.4.2.min.js) and it works fine now.
